Artiste-auteur indépendant depuis 1987 après cinq ans d’études dans une remuante école des Beaux-arts de Bordeaux durant lesquels j’ai démarré une activité professionnelle de plasticien graphiste et vidéaste avant même d’avoir mon diplôme en poche, j’ai poursuivi mon parcours au contact de commanditaires et de projets très diversifiés tout en menant des expérimentations entremêlant bande magnétique et pellicule. Alternant créations (info)graphiques, éditions papier, production et réalisation de vidéoclips et fictions burlesques, je me suis retrouvé dans le même temps à la tête d’une association de plasticiens déterminés à faire bouger les lignes en matière de diffusion artistique dans l’espace public. Une période durant laquelle j’ai acquis une expertise en production et direction de projet. Toujours impliqué dans des projets artistiques éclectiques regroupées sous le nom de Marc Adi, j’interviens désormais sur des marchés de commandes publiques et 1 % artistiques. Un domaine où je cultive plus que jamais une approche résolument prospective et collective.
Independent artist-author since 1987, following five dynamic years of study at the École des Beaux-Arts in Bordeaux, during which I began my professional activity as a visual artist, graphic designer, and videomaker even before obtaining my diploma. I continued my journey working with a variety of clients and projects, while experimenting with the interplay of magnetic tape and film. Alternating between (info)graphic creations, print publishing, and the production and direction of music videos and burlesque fiction, I also found myself leading an association of visual artists committed to shaking up the public art dissemination landscape. This period allowed me to develop expertise in project production and management. Still engaged in eclectic artistic projects under the name Marc Adi, I now work primarily in the field of public commissions and the 1% art scheme—an area where I cultivate a resolutely forward-looking and collective approach.
